ANA wins the top prize in the Cabin Concepts category at the Crystal Cabin Awards, an international competition for aircraft interiors.

ANA’s international First and Business Class amenity kits also received top honors in recent industry competitions.

TOKYO, April 22, 2026 – All Nippon Airways (ANA), Japan’s largest airline and a 5-Star airline for 13 consecutive years, today announced that its new international Business Class seat, “THE Room FX,” won the Cabin Concepts category at the Crystal Cabin Awards in Hamburg, Germany.
The Crystal Cabin Awards is an international design competition recognizing excellence in aircraft cabin innovation across categories including comfort, technology and sustainability. Judges recognized “THE Room FX” for its seat structure, comfort and improved fuel efficiency through weight reduction.

1 About the Travel Plus Airline Amenity Awards
An international competition hosted by the British travel publication Travel Plus, focusing on in-flight amenities and service products. Judged by frequent flyers from a passenger perspective, ANA’s First Class kit was awarded the Gold (First Class Amenity Kit Unisex) for its FRANZI pouch design, comfort, and sustainability.
2 About the PAX Readership Awards
Hosted by PAX International and PAX Tech, these awards cover in-flight catering and services based on votes from readers and industry experts. ANA’s FRANZI amenity pouch for Business Class received the “Best Business Class Amenity Kit – Asia”.
About “THE Room FX”
ANA developed “THE Room FX” over seven years in collaboration with aircraft seat manufacturer Safran Seats and design firm Acumen Design Associates. Slimmer doors, thinner partitions and curved backrests create a more spacious feel on the midsize Boeing 787 aircraft, comparable to the passenger space of a larger aircraft.
ANA will introduce “THE Room FX” on long-haul international routes using Boeing 787-9 aircraft starting in summer 2026.
