New lounge in Honolulu’s Daniel K. Inouye International Airport will open on May 24, 2019, to accommodate the influx of new travelers.

All Nippon Airways (ANA), Japan’s largest and 5-Star airline for seven consecutive years, is opening its new loungeOpens in a new window in Honolulu’s Daniel K. Inouye International Airport on May 24, 2019, as part of efforts to boost its presence on the island through the “ANA HAWAii” campaign. This lounge will be the largest lounge in the airport, incorporating both the ANA SUITE LOUNGE and ANA LOUNGE.

Designed as the ideal space for passengers and families to unwind and relax prior to departure, the Honolulu lounge will house a number of innovative features designed to increase comfort and convenience. The lounge will even offer direct boarding access for passengers who have seats in the plane’s upper deck as well as a family area complete with toys, books and everything else needed to keep young travelers entertained.
The ANA SUITE LOUNGE and ANA LOUNGE will offer Hawaiian and Japanese meal options, helping passengers experience the best of each culture side-by-side. The Hawaiian menu will feature macadamia crushed mahi mahi and Hawaiian BBQ chicken, while the Japanese buffet menu will consist of vegetable curry, tofu and vegetable chowder, rice bowls, shogayaki ginger fried pork, meat and tofu. In addition, the ANA SUITE LOUNGE will also have an à la carte menu featuring udon noodle and chazuke broth.

The layout of the lounge itself takes inspiration from a fusion of Japanese and Hawaiian architectural and artistic elements, creating an immersive environment that captures the essence of these two great island cultures. Hawaii’s natural beauty is also echoed throughout the lounge, with striking images of sea, sky and trees featured prominently. Combining Hawaii’s natural beauty with Japanese hospitality, the lounge will present a welcoming atmosphere for all passengers.

“We drew on the most distinctive elements of Japanese and Hawaiian culture during the design process to create something that is at once unique and familiar at the same time,” said Hideki Kunugi, Executive Vice President of ANA. “By incorporating distinct elements from each culture, ANA was able to create a place that celebrates both while retaining a sense of authenticity and accessibility. The inclusion of both local Hawaiian delicacies and Japanese cuisine also offers additional opportunities for passengers to explore aspects of both cultures.”

The lounge will be located on the third floor of Terminal 2, above gate C4. When ANA passengers who are visiting the lounge board from gate C4, which is located on the second floor, they will be able to access the A380 aircraft directly.

ANA is committed to creating luxury travel experiences for its passengers and embodying the best of Japanese hospitality. The new lounge exemplifies ANA’s commitment to bringing the best possible service and convenience to its passengers just as the FLYING HONUOpens in a new window serves as a reminder of the airline’s desire to stay at the cutting edge of technology and innovation.
