TOKYO, March 19, 2026 – ANA HOLDINGS INC. (hereinafter “ANA HD”) has been selected as a fiscal year (FY) 2025 Nadeshiko Brand by Japan’s Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI) and the Tokyo Stock Exchange (TSE), recognizing companies that demonstrate leadership in advancing women’s empowerment in the workplace. This marks the fifth time ANA HD has received the designation, most recently in FY2017.
Women’s empowerment is a central part of the ANA Group’s diversity, equity and inclusion strategy. The company is working toward 30% representation of women in management positions while expanding opportunities for women across the organization.
In technical and operational fields, traditionally male-dominated areas in aviation, the number of female employees has increased 60% since 2019 through initiatives including participation in the International Air Transport Association’s 25by2025 program.
ANA Group also promotes versatile working environments, including remote work and flexible working hours, to support employees balancing careers and family responsibilities. Recognizing the aviation industry’s unique work patterns, including overnight stays and early-morning or late-night shifts, the group launched programs such as Childcare Station, an employee-driven initiative in which registered staff babysitters provide child care support for colleagues.
Paternity leave has also become widely normalized within the group, reinforcing a workplace culture in which both men and women actively participate in family life.
ANA Group will continue advancing initiatives that expand opportunities for women, strengthen employee engagement and support long-term growth.
About the Nadeshiko Brand
The Nadeshiko Brand program was launched in 2012 by Japan’s Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI) and the Tokyo Stock Exchange (TSE). Each year, listed companies that demonstrate excellence in promoting women’s empowerment in the workplace are selected and introduced to investors as attractive companies with strong potential for medium- to long-term corporate value creation.
In recent years, the evaluation has increasingly focused on how gender diversity initiatives are integrated into management strategy and human capital management, as well as their contribution to sustainable corporate value. In FY 2024, 23 companies across 18 industries were selected.
