ANA Earns "WORLD CLASS" Rating for 2nd Straight Year, Also Capturing First-Ever Category Award at APEX/IFSA Awards

TOKYO, Sep. 12, 2025 – All Nippon Airways (ANA) has been awarded the “WORLD CLASS” rating for the second consecutive year by Airline Passenger Experience Association (APEX1), the largest airline industry association based in North America. This rating recognizes airlines that provide the world’s highest quality in passenger experience.

The “WORLD CLASS RATING” is an award that recognizes airlines that meet the world’s highest standards. The selection is based on four evaluation criteria: “Safety & Well-being,” “Sustainability,” “Service-Guest Experience,” and “Food & Beverage Execution,” assessed through on-board audits by industry experts and customer feedback.

ANA received high praise for its safe and clean cabin environment, commitment to a sustainable society, and its high-quality service that is attentive to all customers. Only 10 airlines2 worldwide have been certified as “WORLD CLASS.”

ANA’s outstanding boarding experience and innovation were recognized at the APEX/IFSA Awards, co-hosted by the International Flight Services Association (IFSA3), an international organization dedicated to enhancing inflight service quality. For the first time, ANA won the category award for “Innovation Award for Best Cabin 2026.”

  • 5 Aircraft with riblet film refers to an aircraft with a special film applied to its fuselage and wings. The film, which mimics the structure of a shark’s skin, is covered with tiny grooves (riblets). This technology reduces fuel consumption and CO₂ emissions.
  • 2) Innovation Award for Best Cabin 2026: New International Business Class Seat “THE Room FX” (First-time winner)

“THE Room FX,” a new international business class seat unveiled at the Paris Air Show in June 2025, is the latest door-equipped private suite developed for the Boeing 787 medium-sized aircraft. Its innovative design, which combines a sofa-style pre-recline system with a forward-and-rearward-facing seat layout, was highly praised for delivering the same world-class spaciousness and comfort as a large-sized aircraft’s business class cabin, even on a medium-sized jet.
